Draft Process and Detailed Steps
1 - Draft Email sent out with the information below weeks before the initial draft date.
2 - Familiarize yourself with the drafting instructions and league rules listed on this page.
3 - Enter Demo Draft Room at the demo fantasy league manager and TEST YOUR SYSTEM by drafting a player in the draft room. Teams have to confirm this before the draft at least 1 week before. After that time, KFL can not guarantee and help teams with short notice. It is in each teams best interest to do this as soon as possible to ensure you can draft properly.
To TEST YOUR SYSTEM go to the DEMO LEAGUE linked here. Once at the FLM, click on Draft Results in the menu and see which team is drafting. Go to that team by going back to the Home Page and clicking on that team in the standings chart. On that team page click on Enter Draft. Check out all the features in the room and make a selection. After, CONFIRM that you made a draft pick by emailing KFL.

4 - Pre-Ranking Players is required and encouraged to make a even if teams are drafting live. Once made these rankings will show in the draft room and be there if teams do not show up for the draft, due to some last minute personal issues. Un-Ranked teams will draft by the default rankings. 5 - Trading Stops 1 week before draft. Before this time new leagues may trade draft picks and second year leagues and beyond may trade keeper players and draft picks. Please see the Rules section on trading linked in the right hand menu for more info on trading.
6 - Email Draft Confirmation sent 1 Week before the draft. Teams will receive an email asking them to CONFIRM if they are drafting live or not. Teams may declare that they can not drafting after that time if something should happen at the last minute, but confirmation is needed before the deadline to ensure a proper draft.
7 - Final Draft Confirmation sent out 3 Days before draft to any teams that have not responded.
8 - Courtesy Email Reminder that draft is starting about 1 hour before draft.
9 - Enter Chat Room 1 hour before draft. Instructions in Email Draft Confirmation sent out 1 week before draft. It is not required to enter the chat room. It is there to make things more interesting and fun. Plus, for any situations that may occur.
10 - Enter Draft Room on the specified date and draft your team.
11 - Draft is Over and trading continues.
12 - After Draft Free Agent Waiver Process Is Conducted - Detailed Instructions emailed after the draft is over on the exact steps. The basic process after the initial draft is their will be a hold for 48 hours on all free agent player pickups. Each team owner should put in any requests for players during this time. After the 48 hours process transactions for players will be awarded to teams. Order determined by the reverse order of the 1st round draft order.
13 - Free Agent Pickups Continue as normal when the after draft waiver process ends.

15 - Final Note - If anything should happen where teams can not pick during the draft. I can make those picks for any team if they tell me by letting me know in the chat room, phone call or email. Emails not guaranteed.
More Important Information and Details
1. Draft War Room - All team owners are required to draft in the Fantasy League Manager Draft Room.
2. Draft Time - A time is pre-determined where all owners must be able to attend before joining.
3. Pre Rank List - Team Owners will submit pre-rank lists in case they do not attend.
4. Draft Order - 1yr leagues are randomized and 2yr leagues and beyond are pre-determined from team rankings.
5. Draft Start - The draft will start when the first pick/player is selected by whom ever is first in the draft order. The commish will be in the draft room to help get the official start of the draft underway.
6. Time Limit / Posting Picks - Each team will have 3 minutes to make their picks.
7. Selecting Players all ready drafted - You will get a message/error for picking a player all ready posted. Just repick.
8. Courtesy Email Reminder about 1 hour before the draft.
9. Official Players - Will be from the FLMs database of players. Several types of player lists will be available in the draft room. Custom Rankings - Over All or by Position (if made by team), Value Rankings and Depth Charts. Points is not available since KFL does not use them. Many rookies and prospects will be available. If you do not see a player listed. Notify KFL and we will do the research and add the player to the database.
10. Trading - Trading will stop 7 days before the draft and will be posted at each FLM. All trades accepted before the deadline HAVE TO BE POSTED in the "Trades Forum" at your leagues Official Message Board. Both team owners have to post an acceptance for it to be official, then it will go through the 7 day trade review. Draft picks can be traded in the draft room or by adding them to the comment box when using the trade function on team pages. Trading will continue after the official end of the draft.
11. Team Owner Responsibilities - As a team owner you have responsibilities as a manager that will ensure a quick and good draft by all. These responsibilities include all the procedures above for the live draft.
12 Missing the Draft - Any team that does not show up for the draft and does not have their team set to Computer Pick and the time limit for that team expires. That team will automatically go into Computer Pick draft mode. And a player will be picked automatically after the time expires. That team will stay on Computer Pick until such a time when and if the owner returns. That owner will have to go to Draft Settings in their draft room and set their team to Manual pick. Their team will stay in auto draft mode until that happens or they email the commish.
Updates - Keeper Fantasy Leagues reserves the right to update or amend this procedure to ensure league sportsmanship and to keep the league challenging and fair.
