Keeper Players
______________________________________________

Each team owner will be able to keep 14 players from their roster from season to season. These players can be anyone on the roster with any status such as IR or retired. After each season teams will declare the 14 players they want.

The Keeper Player Deadline is about 1 month after the fantasy league season is over.

Important Note: Any keepers EMAILED after the deadline and that team will receive a penalty. Which is keeping 2 less keeper players. If a team does not confirm the players they need to drop, because of the penalty, within a week after the deadline. The penalty will be automatically conducted.

Non-Keeper Players are dropped after the keeper deadline. And made available in the next upcoming draft for anyone to draft.

Keeper players can be dropped during the in-season or traded with no special requirements.

Rookies that are actually drafted by MLB teams during the current seasons MLB DRAFT can not be kept as a keeper player. Example: Players that were drafted during the 08 MLB draft can not be kept as a keeper at the end of the 08 fantasy season. OR be added during the season and used if called up to the majors. KFL CAN NOT control this aspect of the fantasy league manager. If a team owner does acquire a player and uses them. They will be removed from the current starting lineup and any other past lineup if necessary. This is because KFL can not control how players are added to the free agent player database by our 3rd party software provider. KFL feels that it is unfair that teams can acquire these players on a first come first serve basis. Without a draft or waiver process. This policy makes it fair to all by acquiring them during next years draft.

Do not drop Non-Keepers as the season starts to end and DO NOT WAIVE/DUMP PLAYERS TO CLEAR ROSTER SPACE DURING THE SEASON. This will not be tolerated as it may help to determine the outcome of the final games and makes players available to other teams as keepers. Ex. A team is quitting or is out of the playoffs then drops all or most of his players. Teams should not do this as KFL will drop all non-keepers after the season is over. Although it is very appreciated to drop them when the season is over to help out the commish because it does take a lot of time.

All keepers will be declared at least 48 hrs before the draft.

Keepers are to be EMAILED to the COMMISH.
