H. Ramirez and R. Oswalt for J. Santana?

     Question - I'm in a keeper league where we keep 3 hitters and 2 pitchers. I was offered Hanley Ramirez and Roy Oswalt and I would have to give up Johan Santana. As some background, I have these players as possible keepers: Victor Martinez, Justin Morneau, and Lance Berkman for the 3 hitters, Johan Santana and Francisco Rodriguez or C.C. Sabathia. Should I take this deal?

     Answer - For every trade offer I first say check your team needs. I would really need help at SS and have plenty of pitching to trade Santana. If that is your case I would probably take the trade. If I already had my starting positions filled with quality players and a not to great pitching staff. I would not do this trade.

     Also, for keepers, I would not keep a closer. That is only 1 category and they pitch very few innings to effect ERA and WHIP that much. Also, their Starting Closer status is a big question from season to season. I think you would be better off keeping another pitcher.
