Addai/Jenkins vs Williams/Deion?
Question from: Tim

Question - Hi, I am in a keeper league, and battling for the lead. I am considering trading Joseph Addai and Michael Jenkins for Carnell Williams and Deion Branch. I feel like Addai has a bigger upside than Williams for the future, and I am wondering if Williams will have a stronger second half of the year. I am worried that once I make the trade, Addai will start getting much more playing time. That’s why I added Branch and Jenkins in on the deal. The other issue is that the my team salary will go up, but I still have a fair amount of cap room left. I guess the main thing I am thinking about is comparing Addai to Cadillac Williams, and would be very interested to hear your thoughts.

     Thanks so much! Tim.

Answer - All in all, I think this is a pretty even trade. Addai will slowly start to take over the starting back role as seen by his numbers this past weekend. Williams is definitely the feature back for his club. I do think if Addai does emerge as the starting back, his numbers will increase and exceed Cadillacs by the end of season. The key is the teams they play for. The Colts will tend to get out score most of there opponents, bringing on more of a run game. And the Bucs will fall behind a lot, bringing on the pass game. As for the receivers, I think Branch is a better option then Jenkins. Both are more likely a 3 WR for most fantasy teams or just a fill in. More than likely I would not go ahead with this trade.
