3 Decent Keeper QBs?
Question from: Spencer
Question - I have three decent QBs on my roster and I need to pick one as my keeper for next year. My options are Matt Hasselbeck, Jay Cutler, and Philip Rivers. Hasselbeck is a veteran and plays in the easiest division, but I fear his best years are behind him, plus he hasn't been the same since his knee injury. The other two are young, but have solid potential. I need to decide by June. At this point, I'm leaning toward Hasselbeck or Cutler. Who would you keep?

Answer - Three solid choices for a QB next year, but in my opinion, Rivers is the best option. He is younger than Hasselbeck, and you know there is no coach that is going to pull him if things go wrong (like Shanahan in Denver). Also, Rivers was a tremendous passer in college, and, as the years go on and L.T. gets older, he is going to be the main weapon. Plus, the Chargers are going to add solid WRs to go with Gates at TE, and all that equals better numbers for Rivers.

Answer - Well, it seems like you have some concerns about Hasselbeck, but, there is nothing like having a veteran QB on your team. Cutler did show some flashes, but I would keep Hasselbeck, he isn't that old yet. Injuries hurt the Seahawks this season. keep that in mind as well. Good luck.
