Manny, Texiera, and Sizemore?
Question from: Branden

Question - Help me with my choice of keepers. 12 team, 5X5 standard league except OBP instead of AVG. Manny, Texiera, and Sizemore are locks. Need help choosing 4 more of the following.

     Figgins
     A. Ramirez
     Furcal
     Thome
     C. Young
     M. Cain
     D. Haren
     KRod

Also how high in the redraft should I be looking to draft F. Liriano.

Answer - I would keep C. Young, D. Haren and Cain to keep it well balance. Then I would either keep Ramirez or Thome. They both will produce in HRs, Runs and RBIs. But, Thome is a bit older and may slow down, and Ramirez is on the Cubs and with Soriano and others, I look for them to score alot more, if not win right away.

Recapping: Yound, Haren, Cain for sure and then Ramirez.

As for Liraiano, even though he won't play until Winter Ball in 07. I believe he will go higher in keeper leagues than redraft leagues, which goes without saying I hope. I look for him to go in the mid to late rounds of the draft. In most keeper leagues, if not taken already, he will go fast after teams take care of primary needs. Try to gauge your league and see what they think about him and the latest buzz. If there is alot and you are set in pitching needs or close to it. You may want to use a pick to get him soon as possible and stash him on your roster. If this is a deep keeper league. If not, don't bother if you can't keep him after the season without hurting your team for the most part.
