Situation w/ Keepers?
Question from: Ed

Question - Last year, you guys gave me plenty of helpful advice. I am in a 5x5, 8 team, head-to-head, and we keep 6 players.

     We Start:
     C,1B, 2B, 3B, SS, OF,OF,OF, UTIL, UTIL
     SP,SP,SP, RP, RP, P, P
and we also have 8 bench players.

This year, I have a new situation w/ keepers, as in my team endured a large turnover. These are my potential keepers:

     Albert Pujols
     Johan Santana
     David Wright
     Vernon Wells
     Carl Crawford
     Roy Oswalt
     Scott Kazmir
     Justin Verlander
     Francisco Rodriguez
     Dontrelle Willis
     Lance Berkman

I think I should keep Pujols, Johan, Wright, Berkman, Crawford, and Kazmir.

     What do you think? Ed.

Answer - I would keep Pujols, Wright and Crawford on offense. Then I would keep Santana, Oswalt, and Verlander for pitchers. With this combo, you would have 2 proven aces along with one who has great potential to be an ace for you for many years. Then on offense, you get one of the top 2 hitters in baseball (with AROD), an exciting young stud at 3rd base and Crawford is a very good overall player coming into his supposed prime with the ability to be a huge factor in steals."
