The "Cards" Are Finally Right

After losing the World Series in 04, 87 and 85 they finally return to glory in 06. There last series championship came in 82 against the Brewers, winning 4 games to 2. How does this team rank in all-time series team championships then?

The numbers say second for all MLB and 1st in the NL. They have 17 total world series appearances with 10 wins and 7 losses. By far the most in the NL for appearances and wins. There are 4 teams tied at second with 5 total world series wins in the NL.

Regardless of the numbers, ect. People will be talking about the Cards and world series greatness for awhile. Congratulations !!!!!

Error Free Verlander, Tigers Return To Detroit

Verlander does not have to have the best game of his life (all though that would be nice). He just needs to play an error free and smart game. He does lead the Tigers in the post season with 19 Ks, tied with Rogers. So, he will get his strike outs. And if he could return to regular season form, even just the slightest bit. The game will be very interesting and close. Keep the ball in play, do not have any errors and produce a few runs and the Tigers return to Detroit.

"Romo" wasn't built in a day

It's official. Tony Romo, an Eastern Illinois product, will get the start over Bledsoe. I have never been a real fan of Drew. But, I do not think Romo is a much better answer. He is younger and quicker, but the lack of actual NFL experience will show and Drew will be stepping back in before the game is over. If Romo does pull off a miracle and performs and wins against Carolina. It will be do to a total team effort and all players stepping up. Something that Bledsoe doesn't seem to get.

If Romo does become a solid number 1 starter. Bledsoe will be looking for a trade. Best places to go? Cleveland with Crannell would be ideal. Oakland, Washington and Maimi possibly. If Walters/Brooks, Brunell and Culpepper are not the solutions for their respective teams. Tampa could be consider to, until Simms gets back next season.

Bledsoe did show some class today as Parcells mentioned that Bledsoe said he was "ok with the situation and will go about his business as a professional football player".

Barber Vs. Barber

One of the great games to watch this weekend is Bucs Vs Giants or better yet know as the Barber Bowl. Now, not including the playoffs, this could be Tiki Barbers last game playing against his brother Ronde. Next season Tiki will be interviewing him instead of running away from him. Or running him over depending on the situation.

It should be a great game and farewell to the Barber Bowl. Enjoy.

Fightin' Charlie Weis

Coach Weis was "befuddled" because his team dropped one in the AP Poll, two in the Coach Poll, one in the BC. I think the whole system is pretty much a joke, but I don't see a real alternative out there when its based mostly on opinions.

The bottom line should be a playoff system in each conference and same with the National Title. If its the traditional bowl games people are worried about. Just name each playoff game a certain bowl game. And the championship game could be rotated amongst the most popular bowl games.

Don't worry coach Weis, the Irish are here to stay.

More Injustices "Smudge Gate"

I'm pretty tired of hearing about the smudge on K. Rogers wrist. We will never know the final truth. The only real injustice here was that it wasn't followed up on by the managers and umpires at the exact moment.

Greatest Hoax of the NFL Season

Will Tiki Barber retire or not? Is this the greatest hoax of the 07 NFL football season? First, let me say that Barber is a very intelligent and classy football player and person. I do believe he will retire. But, either way, I think it will work out great for him.

If he stays, he can get a possible pay increase and another shot at a super bowl if the Giants fall short this season.

If he retires, he goes out pretty healthy and gets a new career he has been looking for and wanting.

At least saying he will retire now, instead of after the season. Gives his fans everywhere the chance to say thank you and good bye.

Cyclone Fans Prepare

The unfortunate MCL Hasselbeck sustained in Sundays game has him out for at least 3 weeks Holmgren said today. This leaves the door wide open for I.S.U favorite Seneca Wallace to start and show what he really has. As the Seahawks will need many players to step up and carry the load. Especially now with current injuries also to Alexander and Engram.
